Sporting a thin 4-ply maple/poplar shell, Rockers were available in a variety of configurations ranging from small 5 piece kits with traditionally-sized toms, to massive. He suggested they could have been re-wrapped, but I don't think they were because they hadn't been touched in over 25 years when I received them, but it's still possible. I can't say that a B/W badge NEVER found it's way onto a top of the line Ludwig ( because you can never say never, especially when you're talking about Ludwig) but generally speaking if you see the B/W version of the badge you should figure you're looking at less expensive instruments, although some of the early Rockers were quite decent drums.Came with speed king bass-pedal (which needs some work) Also came with 70's 14' Zildjian Quick Beat hh (really nice) and 18' zild crash/ride (also nice) Here's the catch.After doing some online research I thought they were 1976 because of the clear interior. However, with so many years of history under its belt, accurately identifying the year of manufacture for a Ludwig drum is a daunting task for those unfamiliar with the company’s evolution. I haven't seen any with the B/W badges though, although there were chrome wrapped Rockers that would look similar.
